He Loves Me1 John 4:19“We love him, because he first loved us.”Do you love Jesus?Why do you love Jesus?Our verse today says, We love him, because he first loved us.”He was the initiator of our relationship of love. He did not just say the words He proved them!Romans 5:8“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”Recently I stated in a sermon that I have never doubted that Jesus loved me. Through the years there have been those who have said those three wonderful words, words we all love to hear- “I love you”. But in time their words were proven to be false by their actions.Not so with Jesus Christ!!!It is His very actions that has proven and continually prove His love for me.His death on the cross (Romans 5:8).His shed blood for the remission of my sin (Hebrews 9:22).He arose from the grave for my justification (Romans 4:25).“He ever liveth to make intercession for” me (Romans 7:25).He is coming again for me (John 14:3).He promised He would never leave me nor forsake me (Hebrews 13:5). Because of that promise I will never have to walk alone!Today I rest my faith in the truth knowing that “Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so”.
