"BE THAT KIND AND TENDER-HEARTED CHRISTIAN" "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." (Ephesians 4:32)A broken heart has a way of showing itself on the faces of the many folks we see and talk to everyday. A tender heart, expressed with a kind word from us, can go a long way in making someone's day a little brighter and help lessen the misery they may be experiencing. Never forget the Lord's kindness which He extended to you and I that hour when we trusted Christ for salvation that brought misery to an end for us.Now, as God has been kind toward us because of Jesus Christ, we are to be towards others. Think of the abundant and complete forgiveness we have received through our Saviour's Sacrifice. Kindness should be our attitude towards everyone, for God has been so tender-hearted to us. Aren't you glad that is the case? Then that is exactly how we are to be towards others.Kindness from a tender heart is never a wasted act on our part. For both will always makes a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and in turn, they will bless the one who gave it, which in turn. produces a tremendous difference in their life. There's a familiar old quote that expressed it beyond words saying, "Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see." Have you ever noticed in the Gospels how the Lord Jesus was always busy doing good and being kind and tender-hearted to those who were hurting? Luke reminds of that great truth in Acts 10:38, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: WHO WENT ABOUT DOING GOOD, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." (caps mine)To be sure, it goes without saying that Jesus' crowning deed, with His heart filled with tenderness, was when He willingly went that extra mile at Calvary and showed His lovingkindness for all mankind. You see, kindness and a tender heart imitates God. Therefore, a kind and tender heart is always right because our Lord does that which is always right Tomorrow, we might forget the kind and tender-hearted words we said and the gracious deeds we offered to another hurting soul in the past, but the one who was on the receiving end of a word fitly spoken and a deed faithfully shown, could very well cherish them for the rest of their life. Friends, to a much greater extent, the Lord will never nor ever forget that hour when He personally showed His kind and tender heart towards us. And with words of thanksgiving, you and I in return, should indeed daily cherish that gracious love freely given by Him till that very moment when we shall see Him as He is.
