We paid a visit to the last home and resting place of one of our nation's founding fathers today, Patrick Henry.Patrick Henry was a very unique individual. He was one of the visionaries who could see what a truly free country could look like and what it would take to get there. He knew it would mean war with England. He knew it would require action and great sacrifice.War is never a welcomed conclusion but as Patrick Henry recognized, some times it was a necessary consequence for freedom.Supposedly peace, at the expense of freedom is really no peace at all.Many today, like in that day, think peace can be won by inaction. Not true.Also, like in that day, many do not realize that we are already at war. Our nation is in turmoil.Injustice fills our land. Dishonest, cruel, and greedy leaders lord over us.Yes, we must continue to pray.But we must also act.Right now, if we have a chance still of free and fair elections, which may not still be possible, we can act by exercising our freedom and vote.We will see whether or not that freedom is still real or just an illusion.So Church and everyone else, vote!And pray it counts!Christian, vote your Biblical values of life and Biblical Marriage!Else, you are only fooling yourself that you are practicing Biblical Christianity.That is my opinion, and I will speak it now and even if the Democrats threatened to imprison me for doing so. Actually, even now, it is more than a threat.So like Patrick Henry in days of old ..."But different men often see the same subject in different lights; and, therefore, I hope it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen if, entertaining as I do opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve. "More really good stuff..."It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace– but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God!
