This is Richard Vobes own biography detailing his credentials 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣My name is Richard Vobes and I have enjoyed writing most of my life. I love dreaming up stories and peppering them with oddball characters. Most of the work I have previously been involved with is writing television scripts. However, I used to lie on a bed of nails, eat fire and walk on glass for a living. For many years, I worked as an entertainer, all over Britain, performing circus skills and crazy stunts. One of the things I liked to amazed people with was juggling five balls while balancing on a giant yellow ball! In the mid 1990s, I wrote and starred in a ITV children's television programme called Snug and Cozi. It was the adventures of two of the more crazy spacemen in the known universe. It was rather silly, but I do intend to bring them back in book form one day, so watch this space! As well as writing Splidge, I make history documentaries. These have been shown on the Community Channel, a digital TV station on Freeview and Sky. They have taken me around England and I have investigated such subjects as the Smugglers of the Romney Marshes in Kent, to the notorious Shropshire highway man, Humphrey Kynaston and a lost canal that enthusiasts are trying to save and put back into water. I have plenty of ideas for more stories, both for Splidge and his friends, and other adventures.Having spent thirty years performing, film making and generally making a fool of myself, I offer an insight to my unusal career and life. I provide a witty, intelligent and engaging talk on a variety of subjects suitable for all.
