Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. One day God will bring all his faithful people together. We need not fear because (1) God is with us (“I am with you”), (2) God has established a relationship with us (“I am your God''), and (3) God gives us assurance of his strength, help, and victory over sin and death. Are you aware of all the ways God has helped you? --- Life Application Study Bible notes PRAYER Father God, Help me not to look forward to what may happen tomorrow; as You, the same everlasting Father, who cares for me today will take care of me tomorrow and every day. I ask either You will shield me from suffering, or You will give me unfailing strength to bear it. Help me be at peace, then. Teach me to put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations, and say continually: “The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in Him and I am helped, He is not only with me but in me, and I in Him.” In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
