He Is Able! Are We Willing?Ephesians 3:20-21“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”The truth of verse 20 is supported by the omnipotent power of God. God is able! He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think!! Whatever I am praying for or about, whatever you are praying for or about, God is able to do more than what we are asking of Him. His power to do far exceeds what we are asking.“So why does God not help my child?” This was the question given to me sometime ago by a very distraught and discouraged parent. My answer; “God is a gentleman and through His love He will not force your child into a relationship with Him. Your child does not want God, and does not want God to work in their heart. Therefore the ability for God to do something in your child’s life is not a lack of His power or His willingness to do. And it is not in the sincerity of your request for God to work. It is solely in your child’s rejection of God.” This poor parent was beating themself up on the inside thinking there was something wrong with their faith concerning why God would not save their child. God is more than able but are we personally willing?God’s power has no limit. His power to work in our life is based on our willingness and faith that allows Him to work. His power to work in this adult child’s life was not based on the parent’s faith and willingness for God to work, but solely on the individual willingness and faith of their adult child. It is the same for any person.God is able but are you willing?John 1:12 - “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
