O Ye Of Little Faith - Why Do We Worry And Have Fear?Matthew 8:26“And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.”Our Lord entered into a ship and His disciples followed Him (Matthew 8:23). They were following Jesus when their trial of faith came. The next verse tells us there arose a great tempest in the sea and the ship was covered with the waves. Jesus was asleep but the disciples worried they would all die. They said, “Lord, save us: we perish”.What can we learn here?It was their “little faith” that allowed them to follow Jesus. It was their little faith that caused fear and worry within their heart. But, and we must not miss this, they had enough faith to bring them to Jesus in their time of trouble. I am confident their faith in Jesus grew that day. Our faith may be small. But, may our faith lead us to God and may the trying of our faith grow our faith in Him!1 Peter 1:7 - “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:“
