To put it roughly, the elderly who were sick enough to have died this year anyway from their medical conditions died from COVID instead.As far as the "COVID disaster" narrative, this is what happens when you code otherwise normal deaths as COVID: plus 1 death for COVID, minus 1 death from a motorcycle accident. The end result is a net zero increase. They could conceivably make up deaths using fake names, but ultimately that strategy would conflict with the Social Security Death Index - these fake names wouldn't have Social Security numbers.In other news, I'm fascinated by the jump in deaths starting in 2014. It's likely a methodology change because the jump is consistent, but that's also the year Obamacare went into effect.
