For every abomination, and for every sin, there must of necessity be a just recompense. For God is holy and a Just Judge. His wrath burns like fire against all iniquity; the fury of His wrath is like a consuming fire that no man can bear. Here, Ezekiel speaks of temporal judgment on Israel for nation sins, but the same principle applies to individuals and to eternal judgment if men do not repent.
