FORGIVENESS: Yes, Jesus forgives but does his forgiveness means consequences of sins disappear?
Churches and Christians confuse forgiveness and consequences as if once I'm forgiven, then I'm treated by God as 'if' I've never did anything wrong.
In my previous post, I gave two examples of King David and the consequences of his sins, even though he was forgiven.
Now, let's look Adam and Eve and their consequences after they were forgiven.
EVE - Genesis 3:16 - Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
Yes, she was forgiven, but w h a t are her consequences for sin?
* Multiply thy sorrow.
** Multiply thy conception
*** Thy desire shall be to thy husband
**** He shall rule over thee.
ADAM - Vs 17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
* In sorrow shalt thou eat of it 'a l l' the days of thy life.
ADAM - Vs 18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
* Thorns and thistles (ground cursed)
ADAM - Vs 19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
* Sweat of they face - (suffering)
** how long? 'T I L L' thou r e t u r n unto the ground.
Eve's consequences for Sin was a life time of sorrow and Adam's consequences for Sin is also for a life time.
Yes, they both were forgiven, but their consequences followed them for a life time and into the lives of the children.
So, what should you do? Should you mourn and cry about your consequences or blame each other for God's judgments? Absolutely not !!!
Living your life 'a f t e r' forgiveness is your life of sanctification. You learn to understand how great 'forgiveness' is since the death of Jesus removes your 'p e n a l t y (hell)' but it does not remove your 'consequences' for sin.
Once a person is judged for murder, thief, liar, cheat, drug dealer, and the law judges you as such, you can be forgiven by God, but being forgiven will not r e m o v e your judgments of jail, financial penalties or prison time. Many, who are now Christians in prison, will die in prison and never see freedom.
Prisoners, who accept Christ as Saviour while in prison, have no problem in understanding consequences, but Christians and churches have the habit of thinking forgiveness from God also means that he removes all the consequences of sin, which is shallow thinking.
Now, if you were a habitual sinner, before salvation, yes God's forgiveness was something BIG for you, but don't think God is required to remove a l l the consequences that accumulated from your sinfulness.
Now, how to deal with the consequences of Sin? You are to seek his healing ways.
HEALETH: After salvation a person will face the horrible recognition that sin has left its mark upon them and others. This is where God can step in to help and it is called HEALING:
Psalms 147:3 - He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
The secret to this form of help comes when the sinner realizes they not only broke God's heart but the hearts of others who they sinned against.
God can heal the pains of sin even though you are in the midst of the consequences of Sin. The consequence is not removed but God gives the strength and grace to proceed after consequences manifest themselves.

Churches today are living in the secular world they're not living in God's realm of what the Bible teaches and until churches wake up and teach exactly what the Bible says there's going to be a lot of people dome to hell. Churches are no longer a place of reverence to God. People today go to churche... View More
