The Mercy Of GodLamentations 3:22-23“It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”Have you ever given much thought to the mercy of God?The prophet Jeremiah says it is due to the mercies (plural) of the LORD that we are not consumed. Think of it, because of His mercy you are alive, you are breathing, and you are reading this devotion. Because of His mercy you and I will be able to go out and do His will today. The word mercy in the Bible speaks of God’s faithful kindness. Be sure when you are thinking of God’s mercy or kindness that you don’t leave out that word faithful. God is faithful in extending His mercy, He is faithful in extending His kindness. His mercies are new every morning!! Each morning, just like today I wake up because of the mercy of God!!His compassion never fails! That word compassion speaks of the inward working and moving of the heart of God toward you and me.What a wonderful God the LORD is!His faithful mercy is great!!! May I encourage you to do some mediating today on the faithful mercy of our LORD!!
