Taken in 1972, during a California state bantamweight championship fight in Stockton California. I was a photographer for McClatchy News Services and was assigned to shoot the boxing match. The pugilist on the left won by split decision. One of the most hard-fought fights I've ever witnessed. Taken with a Pentax Spotmatic using a Pentax-M 50mm f:1.4 lens and Tri-X film.

Yeah, Paul.... I especially like watching the bantamweight fighters in most cases. These two put on the best pugilist exhibition I've ever seen.
