The Change 2 Corinthians 5:14-17 -- “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” This passage of Scripture gives the Biblical proof and the power of how anyone can change. The world says some people can never change but what does the Bible and particularly this passage teach? The key to the change taking place is being born again (John 3). The person who is truly born again is a “new creature” in Christ Jesus. The power to change and live for Christ is found in Christ. As the Christian daily fellowships with Christ through the Bible the “old things” or old ways of their life will pass away and the new ways of the Christian life will come forth. The entire process of change is motivated by the love of Christ which “constraineth us”. His love has captured us and holds on to us, ever prompting us to walk with Him and live for Him! I thank God for the change that is ever taking place in my life!
