WHY I REALLY JUST DON'T CARE One of the biggest misconceptions among worldly people is that serious Christians don't seem to realize how weird they appear in the eyes of most people. It is supposed that if we only knew how others see us as religious nuts we would change and be more like the mainstream world. WRONG. I know that I speak for a great many Bible-believing Christians when I say that I KNOW EXACTLY HOW THE WORLD VIEWS ME, AND I DON'T CARE! Sure, praying and reading the King James Bible faithfully makes a man a little strange, but I DON'T CARE! Taking God's side on every subject imaginable and adjusting my life and family accordingly is very strange during these apostate times, but I DON'T CARE! Witnessing, passing out tracts and street preaching isn't exactly the way to win new friends and make positive impressions, but I DON'T CARE! Living a holy life and raising your kids right in an unholy society doesn't exactly make me an ideal global citizen, but I DON'T CARE! Giving money to Bible-believing missionaries instead of the United Way or Red Cross will never get my name and photo in the local newspaper or on a fancy wall plaque somewhere, but I DON'T CARE! Seriously, I really just don't care! You see, God delivered me from the praises of men a long time ago. While some of you struggle daily with such foolish dilemmas as "What will people think?" my most common dilemma is "What will GOD think?" Asking that single question has inspired me to bear the unpopular and despised reproaches of the Lord Jesus Christ for years. I stopped caring what people think over decades ago, and I care less right now than at any point in my life. This wicked world did its best to wreck and ruin me years of my life, and it has been trying to wreck my godly testimony ever since, so I DON'T CARE what people think! Yes, OF COURSE, I know that you think I'm a religious nut and that my Christianity is just "taking things too far," but I DON'T CARE! I know that people laugh when they see the scripture magnets, but I DON'T CARE. No, I don't SEEK to annoy or to offend others, but I don't care if I do. I seek to glorify God by being a well-balanced man of righteousness, kindness, humility and boldness, and I DON'T CARE if people have a problem with that because it is GOD that I will give account to in the day of judgment, and I have NO REGRETS for the reproachful life that I have lived for the Lord Jesus Christ. Sure, I regret that I haven't been even MORE of a religious nut in the eyes of the world, but I have no regrets for the reproachful life that I have lived for the Lord. I wear it as a glorious badge of honor, and it grows more precious with every passing day, because every day brings me closer to heaven and His glorious judgment seat. And that's really all that matters: HIS GLORIOUS JUDGMENT SEAT. There won't be nine Supreme Court justices issuing flawed rulings or a court of appeals to reverse righteous judgment. Nor will there be any politically correct guidelines to follow or any crooked lawyers to pervert judgment. No, it will be an incredible day of treasure and trash (I Cor. 3:11-15; Mat. 6:20-21). I, for one, am going for the treasure. On that day, I plan to exchange my cross for a crown. Until then, I have no crown, and I refuse to accept one from the world, the flesh, or the devil. I'll just press onward while bearing my cross and making a fool of myself for Jesus Christ (I Cor. 4:10), and I'm too tired and too close to heaven to care what anyone thinks about it.
