The construction project of the new Benha University Hospital in Qalyubia Governorate, Egypt, witnessed the discovery of a coffin and some artifacts inside the project, after the completion of the implementation of the first phase of the project, which is concrete walls to prevent leakage throughout the hospital.
It was found that the discovered coffin is made of quartzite, and dates back to the era of King Psamtik I, and its weight with the cover is about 62 tons.. Initial studies conducted on the coffin indicated that it belongs to the supervisor of scribes during the reign of King Psamtik I of the Twenty-Sixth Dynasty.
