What’s The Real Problem?Our world, America not withstanding, is in a mess. There is now a great show of evil, adultery, fornication, murder, and theft daily taking the news headlines. In the articles that follow these headlines, all the experts give their take on why such things are happening. But what is the real reason such things take place?Some of the SINS, like adultery and fornication, are celebrated. There is a cause and there is a cure to stop the madness. Jesus gave us the real cause in Mark 7:20-23 -- “And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.”The cause is mankind has a heart problem. Whatever is in the heart of the person will eventually make its way out in his or her actions. The way to fix the problem is through a new heart.2 Corinthians 5:17 - “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”Ezekiel 36:26-27 - “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.”John 3:7 - “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”I agree that something has to change, but the real change that needs to take place is in the heart.
