"I DON'T LIKE YOUR TONE" Thankfully, I don't have that line used against myself often, but I do hear and read folks using it against others, and I see it as nothing but plain old stinking hypocrisy. When you really want to watch a ball game or a good movie, you often overlook a certain amount of undesirable content, such as commercials, language, violence, etc. You do this because you believe that the quality of most of the content far outweighs whatever negatives might come with the package. When you have a family reunion, you don't refuse to attend just because uncle Fred might be there with his fifth wife, whom he picked up on last year's Tuesday in New Orleans. When you are hungry enough for food, you won't care about the tone of the waitress' voice, or her facial expressions, or her quality of service. You will be interested in FOOD for your stomach. You always find a way to hold your nose and suffer the bad with the good. UNLESS . . . unless the issue is BIBLE TRUTH. Then you'll settle for any excuse the devil might deal you. You're not a hungry truth seeker at all. You're a hypocrite looking for an alibi to keep living a lie. I know because I have been there, and NOTHING could keep me from God's truth once I hungered for it, and definitely not anyone's "tone." When you're hungry enough, you'll eat.
