#Repost Flat Earth challenge, 🤔While travelling through Spain recently, I took this photo of the PS10 solar power station outside Seville. It is a heliostat and works by focusing reflected sunlight to the top of the tower where that energy raises the temperature of a mixture of salts to 550 degC. The molten solution circulates past water creating steam to drive turbines thus producing electricity. The focusing mirrors track the sun at 15 degrees per hour, in keeping with the rotation of the Earth.More proof, if it was ever needed, that the Earth is a globe turning once per day on its axis.
