Rainbow Valley. 🌈 STORY: Rainbow Valley is a geological masterpiece that lies approximately 100 kilometers south of Alice Springs in Australia's Northern Territory. If you’re ever in the area this is a must visit! A short detour off the main highway, it offers a nice campground, with incredible views. The striking contrast between the colours in the rock and the surrounding arid landscape makes Rainbow Valley a photographer's dream, with the added bonus of some of the darkest skies on offer! I managed to fire off this tracked panorama just after dark, the milkyway core was getting quite high overhead, so I had to shoot more images than I would usually, which did cause some blending issues but I managed to make it work. Not long after finishing the imaging sequence, the night was cut short with clouds rolling in and blanketing the sky pretty fast.
