The Will Of God1 John 2:15-17“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”A love for the world has kept a many Christian from doing the will of God. This world as we see it now and as it is, will one day pass away and be no more. All of us have but one life. Will we live it for God? Or, will we seek this world? We are told here to “love not the world, neither the things that are in the world”.Who or what has allegiance in your heart; Christ or the world? Are you seeking to do what is the specific will of God for your life? OR is your life more about the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life? This does not mean that every Christian is to look for some special calling so they can say, “This is the will of God for my life.” Not all Christians will be a preacher or pastor or a missionary, but indeed the Scriptures clearly teach that it is the will of God for all Christians to be followers of Jesus Christ, by faith. The “will of God” in simple terms means what purpose for your life that God has determined for you specifically.Do you know what that is ?Are you seeking to do it ?OR does this world have you in its grip?
