"AVOID SLIPPERY STEPS" "The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide." (Psalm 37:30-31)When the law of God is in the heart of a person, that same person will talk right and walk right. The Psalmist tells us here that the heart is where God's law should be. If His law is in our head, it will simply boggle us. If His law is on our back, it will seriously burden us. But when God's law is in our heart, it will surely bless us.Those of us who have turned to and trusted the Lord Jesus as our Saviour, have been made free indeed (John 8:36). Therefore, knowing that God is for us (Psalm 56:9), with us (Matthew 1:23), and in us (Colossians 1:27), brings comfort and change in our life, and thereby leads us to joyfully obey His will and walk by faith to His commands. Does your walk with God keep step to the will of God? If so, then your heart has found a place of rest in God's Word.Friends, the Word of God has never misled a person down the wrong road, and it never will. Therefore, we can rest assured that the right path always ends up at the right place. The Lord's instructions have been stated and His directions have proven safe. The individual who walks holy and humbly, is an individual who walks with the Word of God in their heart.
