Here, Jesus promises, "Seek, and you shall find." But Paul says in Romans 3:11 that there is no one who truly seeks after God. How can we reconcile these two ideas? The answer is that the natural man never seeks God, but that those with a new nature (from the new birth) do both seek him and find him. But in another sense, we should rather say "He sought us" than to say "We sought Him."
