Always nice to have bug eaters like wrens in the garden. This was last years resident couple.Didn't have any this year. At least we had bluebirds and tree swallows to patrol the garden.

We had several nests.
We had a Carolina Wren in the shed with several eggs but it was abandoned. A few of our other bird houses had nesting materials but were abandoned. 😔

The thing that bothers me about wrens are their practice of claiming several neighborhood birdhouses at the same time by filling the openings with twigs and sticks (therefor keeping other birds out) and then nesting in only one of them. Regular real estate manipulators, the wren.
