Jude 1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the => way of Cain, <= and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.WAY OF CAIN: When you read Genesis Chapter 4, you read the story of Cain and Abel.Cain was the firstborn and Abel the younger brother.Cain was a tiller of the ground and Abel was a keeper of the sheep.Both understood the shedding blood as the principle from God to provide a substitute sacrifice (sheep) for their Parents: Adam and Eve.Now we should all ask the question, "why did Cain refuse to follow God's example of the blood sacrifice as given to his dad and mom"?.Why would Cain desire to worship God differently from his parents?Why would Abel desire to worship God the same way as his parents?It appears that Cain wanted emphasis to be placed upon himself and his way (tiller of the ground).He knew it was a bloodless sacrifice but he didn't care.He realize it went contrary to God and his parents but he didn't care.He understood his brother would be accepted and this just made him angry.He knew, realized and understood and once these three were revealed he got angry instead of repentant. When you k n o w the w a y and still do it y o u r w a y instead of r e p e n t i n g, you will experience bitterness, anger, selfishness, and create you own religious v i e w s which lead you and others to hell.Cain knew the truth but just didn't like God's way.Today, the "Way of Cain" is still prevalent with people creating their 'own' views of what they 'want' God to be instead of understanding who God is from the Holy Scriptures.
