Our pond is loaded with white water lilies.and they are quite fragrant and smell a bit like vanilla. Recently, pink lilies appeared (this is the second one, the first one has gone by) and we hope that they will increase in number... Could be a new cultivar perhaps. Looking forward to see what happens.

I did a little research and discovered that pink water lilies may appear in New England ponds occasionally. This is the first time that I have seen one in all the years that I lived here.
