On a warm and breezy day, Zac Nelkon (Member 57,220) looked up to an intricately speckled sky over London, England, looking like flecks of white paint spattered across the blue. Known as Cirrocumulus, this is a high layer of cloudlets that look tiny simply because they’re so far up. Helpfully, the sky showed for comparison a dissipating patch of the low cloud Cumulus for Zac to know how one of those tiny, high cloudlets would have appeared if it were nearer by.
