We have a new opening for a National Integrated Ballistics Information Network (NIBIN) Technician. NIBIN Technicians provide administrative support to our Investigative Operations Bureau while performing advanced function in collecting, collating, analyzing, and disseminating data relevant to NIBIN.
Some of the primary functions of someone in this role are:
Serves as the primary agency contact for NIBIN lead dissemination and reception both internally and externally
Analyzes firearms, fired ammunition components, unfired ammunition, and cartridge case images. Maintains integrity of evidence and chain of custody
