Having a small yard I like to grow plants which are pretty, but also produce a fruit of some sort. This is a passion fruit which makes good jam and syrup (it needs to be cooked with sugar and strained.) I also happen to really like vines and as the new fruits start to grow while the prior years fruits are still ripening I neglected to prune last year and this vine went crazy. The pile of green fruits are the ones I picked while pruning yesterday. I also enjoy feeding a neighborhood hive of wild honey bees and three humming birds who like the passion flower which does not fruit, but produces tons of nectar for them.
