Truth that every Pastor needs to realize.Good Word.Truth & Consequences 2 Timothy 2:25-26 (NLT®)Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.Years ago, I was given advice that has helped me many times. The first thing I was told is when you must make a choice, to do nothing is to make a choice. The second is silence in the face of evil is affirmation. Finally, if you fail to respond to the evil you are confronted with, you will be increasingly overcome by that evil. The spiritual turmoil we are facing is real, and to pretend we don’t see it is to make that first choice. If we don’t confront it, our silence affirms it. If we don’t respond to it with a biblical worldview, it will increase. We must speak against evil when we see it. I understand we may face disapproval, rejection, or adversity. But the consequences for everyone will be far greater if we hide and do not share God’s truth.THINK ABOUT ITAsk the Lord to show you when you have done nothing, been silent, or failed to respond in the face of evil. Then, ask Him to forgive you and grant you discernment and boldness to face evil with truth going forward.PRAYERHeavenly Father, in mercy, reveal where, in the face of evil and deception, I've been unaware, unconcerned, uninvolved, or afraid. May reverence for You grow in my heart more than the fear and reverence of people or opportunities. Then, help me use my voice to speak Your truth and encourage others toward Your purposes. In Jesus' name, amen. Blessings,Pastor Allen Jackson
