Revival, Is It Possible? 2 Chronicles 7:14 - “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” "God’s Prescription For Revival". For sure the verse gives the people of God an “outline” to follow that would certainly help any individual Christian or local church if followed. For those called by the name of Christ, Christians, it is very simple; humble yourself, pray, seek the face of God, and turn from all wicked ways. When this is done God promises to “then” hear, forgive their sin, and heal the land. So why doesn’t revival happen when one follows the steps? Because revival is more than just following a few steps. It is a matter of the heart. None of these steps can be faked in the sight of God. Going through the motions will not bring revival. God is omniscient, therefore He knows what is real and true in our hearts. It is easy for any church member to just go through the motions of Christianity. Some people are so good at deceiving others they have reached the point they have deceived themselves (2 Timothy 3:13). I firmly believe revival is needed and can come to an individual, a local church, and the entire body of Christ present on earth today. But God knows within our heart if you and I really want revival.
