Ephesians 5:11 (KJV) - And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them].REPROVE: DEFINED, L. reprobo re and probo, to prove.1. To blame to censure. I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices - Psalms 50 .2. To charge with a fault to the face to chide to reprehend. -- Luke 3. 3. To blame for with of as, to reprove one of laziness.4. To convince of a fault, or to make it manifest. The preacher’s preaching is supposed to REPROVE YOU. This type of preaching is hated today. Christians should ask themselves, 'why do I hate preaching that reproves'. Your preacher is expected to expose sin. If not, you need to find a church with a real preacher. Christians will naturally flock around preachers who preach love and nothing about sin. The basis of the Gospel begins with your realization that you ARE a Sinner and need a savior. The Saviour came to this world because of his love for his creation (you), not because he loves your sinfulness. Now, God loves you but God will not tolerate your sins. God and his preacher will expose your sinfulness and if you don’t like it, then you don’t respect God and His word. So, if you don’t like my post, that’s ok. I will let you argue with God on the judgment Day.
