Jesus Is Coming Quickly!Revelation 22:7 - “Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.” Revelation 22:12 - “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” Revelation 22:20 - “He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” This word “quickly” is a very interesting word. It means speedily (without delay), soon, suddenly (as in a surprise), and shortly. A couple of thoughts come to my mind as the word quickly relates to the Second Coming of Christ. One is the question of when is Jesus coming again? It has been over 2,000 years since He promised in John 14:2, 3 - “I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” Jesus is coming again - that is an absolute truth! When? He said it would be quickly. Which means it could be very soon. The second thought I have is the question of how fast He will come when He does come? If someone calls and says , “I am coming to your house”, we could somewhat calculate their estimated arrival. There would be time for us to prepare for their arrival. Jesus said, “I will come again.” If He left at this moment, then at this moment He would be here! That is how quickly He will be here. When Jesus comes there will be no time to get ready. Christians used to hear sermons on the Second Coming of Christ with regularity. Not today. That is a sad truth! Jesus is coming again and when He comes He will come quickly? Are you ready?
