What Is Truth?John 18:37-38 - “Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.” I find it very ironic that Pilate with Jesus standing before him asked the question, “What is truth?” Jesus is truth personified. Did Pilate really want to know the truth about Jesus? He did confess the truth when he said about Jesus, “I find in him no fault at all”. That statement was the truth but only a part of the whole truth about Jesus. We live in a day where people will believe anything. My doctor once told me, “Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.” He told me that when I had told him what I read on the internet about my symptoms. What is truth? Jesus said in John 8:45 - “And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.” People hear the truth but do not believe. Paul wrote to the church at Galatia in Galatians 4:16 “Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?” People hear the truth and then make the truth teller their enemy. I am convinced that people today do not want to know the truth. Especially if that truth has anything to do with God, the Bible, or Jesus Christ. Want to know a truth? Jesus is coming again! He said He would (John 14:3). When He does He will take all that is wrong and make it right. All the world will one day see and know the truth. Truth is coming!
