NO, CHILDREN DO NOT GO TO HELL
I have been told that even two year-old children can go to hell. This is clearly NOT the case, according to Scripture.
Little children have no knowledge of good and evil, and that's why the New Testament offers not a single instance of a little child receiving Christ. They simply are not accountable until they develop a spiritual understanding of good and evil.
A good verse for this is Deuteronomy 1:39: "Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it."
Although this verse doesn't deal with eternal salvation, it does show God's mind toward those with no knowledge of good and evil. The little ones who had no knowledge between good and evil were not punished. This is due to the fact that sin is not imputed where there is no law, and there is no law in the heart of a child, or even in the heart of a mentally-challenged person.
Two good New Testament verses are Romans 4:15 and Romans 5:13 . . .
"Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression." (Rom. 4:15)
"(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law." (Rom. 5:13)
Simply give the gospel to children and pray for them while maintaining a godly home and atmosphere for them. God will keep them SAFE until they mature and reach their age of accountability when they can be SAVED.
