The Result Of Sin Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” Romans 6:23”For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” It is hard to believe that there are people who do not believe there is such a thing as sin or evil. If there is no such thing as sin and evil, then what does one call the atrocities committed by the likes of Stalin and Hitler? SIN entered into our world through the first man Adam. Adam disobeyed God and because all of mankind is a descendent of Adam all are made sinners. But sin was not the only thing that passed upon all men through Adam. There is the sentence or God’s judgment of death, “so death passed upon all men”. The universal result of the judgment of sin is death. Man can only prolong the inevitability of death but so long. The best doctors in the world cannot stop death from occurring. The wages of sin is death! But there is hope! In Jesus Christ there is always hope! The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:21-22 “For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” Jesus Christ provided for mankind what Adam failed to do. Jesus Christ defeated death through His resurrection. Through Adam all are sinners and all will die. Through Jesus Christ all can be saved by grace through faith and those who are saved will have eternal life in Heaven.
