Seeking The LostLuke 19:10 “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” When Jesus said these words He had just saved a man by the name of Zacchaeus. The entire story of his conversion can be read in Luke 19:1-10. Zacchaeus was wanting to see Jesus and climbed up a tree for a better view. Jesus was also seeking Zacchaeus, came by his way, and called him down from that tree. Zacchaeus was lost and needed to be found (saved). We who are saved are commissioned by Christ to go out into the world and seek the lost to tell them the Good News that Jesus Christ came to save them. In Luke 24:46-48 Jesus said “Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.” Oh, how can we who are saved live for selfish pleasures while there are so many who are lost and cannot find their way to God?! What are you desperately seeking to gain today? Is it lost souls?
