Heavenly Father, forgive me for wanting life to be easy----For expecting the rewards to come before the labor, the joy before the cross, the sight prior to faith. --Forgive my shallowness, my love for ease, my impatience with difficulty, my sense of entitlement that protests a life of faith. --Thank you for your patience with my ignorance, your understanding of my laziness, your love in the midst of my humanity. I treasure Psalm 103:14 where you are mindful that we are but dust. You knew you were getting no bargain when you saved us! And loved us anyway! What a Lord you are! Thank you. --Have thine own way in my life, dear Lord. Regardless of what I say when I'm tired or lazy, impatient or self-centered. Please, please, find me faithful. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
