Rebecca Baker (Member 53,344) spotted a rainbow fragment in the early morning over Blue Mountain Beach, Florida, US. ‘The colors were intense,’ Rebecca tells us, ‘and you could see the rain flowing through it.’ Only a fragment of rainbow appeared because the sunlight was shining onto a narrow shaft of rain. It was, as Rebecca described it, an ‘early-morning gift’ of atmospheric optics.
