DELIVERANCE FROM THIS PRESENT EVIL WORLD Galatians 1:3-5 “Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” Do you believe that this present world, apart from God, is an evil one? That is what the Holy Spirit called it in our text. In Philippians 2:15 the Holy Spirit calls it “a crooked and perverse nation”. Anyone who thinks our present situation in America and the world is in good standing lacks spiritual discernment. Because of the grace of God and being a believer in Jesus Christ that He gave Himself for my sins, I consider myself to be delivered from this present evil world! I know I live in this world, but this world is NOT my home! My true home is Heaven! If you are saved then you can say the same about yourself!! Right now, in Christ, believers are positionally delivered from this present evil world. One day we will be permanently delivered! One’s only hope of being delivered from this present evil world is through Jesus Christ who gave Himself on the cross for our sins. It is good to be saved! It is good to have the hope of Heaven! I read the news and all seems hopeless for America and the world, but I look unto Jesus, have hope, and thank God He has delivered me!
