Met up with Jessica Lynch today at one of our National Cemeteries here in my hometown. Jessica was taken captive in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. As a soldier with the 507th Maintenance Company her unit was ambushed by Iraqi military forces. At the end of the fighting 10 members of her unit were dead with several more injured . Of the wounded, seven were captured with Jessica being one of the seven. It was a real honor to meet and chat with Ms Lynch.
