Colossians 1:5 (KJV) For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the GOSPEL;GOSPEL: There is hope!Hope is not in any religion or church!Hope is in the Gospel that is about what Jesus accomplished for you. The Gospel is simple: A person not persons, died for you. This person was not just any person but the Son of God. Only the Son of God can die for your sin. The good news of the Gospel is that the Son of God, died for you, was buried and arose again. Death had no power over The Son of God. After three days, he arose: The resurrection. God is offering you salvation, through the Gospel which is faith in his Son, which cancels faith in your own goodness or your denomination or religion. Either you have salvation provided from God or you have self-reliance attitudes that you’ve created within your own mind. I believe the Gospel. Now, do you believe in your own religion, your own values or the gospel?The first two are not equal to the Gospel.The Gospel stands alone. The Gospel needs no help from you. The Gospel saves and nothing else can save.
