DID OLD TESTAMENT SAINTS KNOW ABOUT CALVARY? There is no scripture that says Old Testament saints actually knew about Christ and His work on the cross, but that really doesn't matter. The greater question is "Do Old Testament saints have any CONNECTION to Calvary?" The answer to that question is "YES, ELSE THEY WOULD PERISH IN HELL FOREVER." To "rightly divide" the word so much that some people in the Bible have no connection to the cross of Christ is actually WRONGLY DIVIDING. All through the Scriptures, a man's obedience to God's revealed words is an automatic connection to Christ and Calvary, whether he knows it or not (Heb. 11:26; I Cor. 10:4; I Pet. 1:11; John 8:56; Acts 10:43; Rom. 10:4; John 5:39; Luke 24:27, 44), etc.). GOD knows it, and that's really all that has ever mattered. Those who fail to see this have fallen very short in their understanding of the word of God. The issue is their FAITH, which Hebrews 11 makes very clear. Faith in God's word has always connected every believer to Calvary, and that's why EVERYONE sings about THE BLOOD when they reach heaven (Rev. 5:9-10), because everyone gets CLEARED, or REDEEMED at Calvary, and not before. That used to be Basic Bible 101. Today it's "heresy," thanks to the "rightly dividing" brethren.
