The Lord Jesus Christ Is Worthy!Revelation 5:2, 5-7 - “And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?… And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.” Jesus Christ is the Lion of the tribe of Judah and the root of David, but He did not secure the right to open the book by default but by death! The Lion appears as a Lamb. A Lamb “as it had been slain”. Jesus Christ secured His worthy right to open the book by His death on the cross and His conquering resurrection! Many rulers of the world have tried in desperation to conquer the world. They all attempted to do so by war or by dictatorship. Jesus Christ has conquered the world and His coronation as King of kings will one day come! He did not earn the right to reign as King by war but by His death! And He died because “…God so loved the world…”! Worthy is the Lamb of God!!! Worthy is the King of kings!!! Edward Perronet wrote and published in 1780 - “All hail the power of Jesus' name!Let angels prostrate fall.Bring forth the royal diadem,and crown him Lord of all.Bring forth the royal diadem,and crown him Lord of all!”
