It is considered a blessing when we do not have close companionship with those who oppose God. It does not mean we distance ourselves from sinners and unbelievers completely, no. We still have to pray for them and preach to them. But to avoid heeding the counsel of or closely affiliating with those who take delight in walking disobedience or doing wicked things, should be considered a blessing because we will be preventing ourselves from going through painful consequences.
