God’s Man And A Voice Ezekiel 22:30 - “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.” Much like our day today, in Ezekiel’s day there was corruption abounding. When you read Ezekiel 22:23-31 we find where God speaks of this corruption. It was not just among the people, God said it was among prophet and priest as well. It is sad in any day when God seeks for a man to “make up the hedge, and stand in the gap” before Him “for the land”, but cannot find one. In all four gospels we find reference that John the Baptist was “the voice of one crying in the wilderness”. There should be no denying that our world today is a wilderness, but where is the voice? I realize that God always has His prophets, just as He did in Elisha’s day, “all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him” (1 Kings 19:18). But we do find proof in the Bible that in every generation God is looking for those who will stand with Him and be a voice for His cause. Today God needs those who will stand with Him and those who will be a voice in the wilderness for Him. Where do you stand? Are you using your voice for God? Or, are you blending in with the corruption of our world?
