2 Peter 3:2 (KJV) That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:MINDFUL: God speaks through his written word - The Holy Scriptures. We are to be mindful of the words which were spoken ‘before’, but due to man’s laziness and lack of Bible knowledge, they desire for God to give them a personal voice from heaven. God’s voice was reserved for his Holy prophets, and his apostles. God will not speak to you as he spoke to them. Now, The Sword of the Spirit is what: Ephesians 6:17 (KJV) And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:If you are not reading the scriptures, then God cannot take the ‘Sword of the Spirit’, to deal with your heart/mind. So, don’t ask God to speak to you when you won’t open God’s Holy Scriptures that is his Sword of the Spirit.
