This was taken about 2 years ago to the very day. Most of the British countryside is covered in Bluebells at the moment. After the Bluebells comes the invasive species called 'Himalayan Balsam' or Snapdragon. You can't walk anywhere in the forest then because the whole place just turns into a jungle of Balsam. I think it came across from India about 50 years ago and as each flower bod bursts open , it spreads another 10 seeds. It's everywhere and stops the smaller original flowers from being able to grab sunlight, so hence some species have quickly become rare or extinct. Flowers such as the Bee Orchid and a few others.
