What happened when 'devils' met the Lord Jesus Christ?Read:Mark 5:1 & Matthew 8:28 - And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.Verse 2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an U N C L E A N spirit,Vs 3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:Vs 4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.Vs 5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.Vs 6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,Vs 7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.Vs 8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spiritQUESTION: You can 'know' who Jesus is and even 'worship' him, but what makes you any different from the devils who also know the S A M E as you?The unclean spirits could recognize ' w h o ' Jesus was and what He would do, if not, they would have never bowed down to worship Jesus. Re-read v e r s e 6 - yes they worshiped Jesus, b u t you won't see them in heaven! Now, are y o u any different?YOU: You might be no different: You can know the 'history' of Jesus, but that doesn't mean you k n o w Jesus as your Saviour.Lucifer/Satan/The devil: Even he knows the Bible: Creation Story, History of Israel, the church, the 2nd coming, his future, but that knowledge of God and the Bible doesn't save. You can pass a history t e s t on the Bible and Jesus and still go to h e l l. There is something about your knowledge of God that has to d i f f e r from their knowledge of God and that key d i f f e r e n c e is REPENTANCE which is a turning to God and which automatically produces a turning a w a y from yourself and the world.If you've n e v e r repented, you can go to hell while singing in the choir, quoting Bible just LIKE Judas, walking with Jesus just LIKE Judas, and eating with all the other disciples, just LIKE Judas.If y o u walk, talk, act, dress, sing, and live like those who are of the w o r l d or unsaved then don't f o o l yourself into thinking that since you K N O W certain Bible stories that you will make it into heaven.Never confuse with 'identifying' as a Christian to be your surety of entering into heaven.Either you are 'b o r n a g a i n' or just as ever other devil who knows who Jesus is and what Jesus is going to do to them at the end of time: Matthew 8:29 - And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us b e f o r e the t i m e?
