TURNING TO GOD - FROM SIN Beware of these gnat-straining brethren who always sit anxious to label someone a heretic for not saying things exactly the same way as themselves. Paul, for instance, is a heretic in their eyes for telling sinners to turn FROM THEIR VANITIES unto God. This is called "works salvation" by these blind clowns who apparently believe that a sinner can seriously turn to God while still loving and committing his sin. No, you find God when you search for him with ALL your heart (Jer. 29:13), not when half your heart is still loving sin. When a man truly turns TO God, he is turning AWAY from sin, because God is HOLY, not sinful. Sure, he will still struggle with sin, as do we all, but he starts by turning FROM sin and TO God. If he doesn't do this, then he isn't turning to the holy God of the Bible. That's Bible 101. You can't travel east and west at the same time. That's common sense 101.
