"FIRM FOOTING ON A SLIPPERY SLOPE."
"He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber." (Psalm 121:3)
We find in this Psalm a very soothing reminder of God's enduring protection and care. No matter the slope or scale of the mountains we face in life, our help comes from the Lord, the Almighty Creator.
Whether we are under the blazing heat of life's challenges or in the cold uncertainty of the night, He never slumbers nor sleeps but constantly guards and guides us. This divine reassurance is a beacon of hope, inspiring us to tread life's journey with faith and courage.
What a tremendous promise for those who often wonder if they can make any progress as they sojourn in this wicked world filled with its gloom and doom. To the many who are fearful of stumbling; a sure word of promise from above is given, "He will not suffer thy foot to be moved." Folks, if the Lord of Glory will not suffer it, then neither can any man in the human race, nor can the demons of Hell do it!
The devil, with his long and lying tongue, would like nothing better than to rejoice with his army of fallen angels if they could but lead us down that lane of a disgraceful fall. Their one desire is to drive us far from God's Word and then bury the memories of our good works for Christ.
And yet, they can do all they want to their wicked hearts content if it were not for the one and only hindrance that stands in their destructive path, THE LORD WILL NOT SUFFER IT.
With the many pitfalls and snares that surround us, no child of God could stand fast for one brief moment unless they anchor their faith upon the rock of one of sweetest guarantees of Scripture, "He will not suffer thy foot to be moved."
Friends, you can enjoy your walk with God every day. For He neither sleeps nor slumbers and promises to keep you safe from stumbling.
